Son zamanlarda basrollerını dunyaca unlu sinema yildizlarinin paylastıgı yapimlar bir bir artiyor. House of Cards, Sherlock, True Detective derken listeye 2016 yilinda Westworld ile tüm zamanların en basarili oyuncularindan biri olan Anthony Hopkins'in de girmesiyle Amerikan dizi dünyası basarısını Hollywood'a ispatlamıs oldu ve A-List oyuncuların dizilere cekingen yaklasmasi icin hicbir neden kalmadi.
Durum boyle olunca eskiden dizilerden Sarah Jessica Parker gibi populer Hollywood oyunculari yaratan HBO da, yeni modaya uyarak rotasını sinema yildizlarinin basrollerinde yer aldigi dizi ve TV filmlerine cevirdi. Onumuzdeki sezon her zamankinden biraz daha gec baslayacak olan Game of Thrones'un yoklugunu Jude Law, Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman ve Robert De Niro gibi odullu oyuncularla telafi etme kararı aldi.
For the last couple of years there has been an undenial increase in the number of TV Series that cast famous movie stars. Following to House of Cards, Sherlock and True Detective, last year producers added Westworld with Anthony Hopkins -one of the greatest actors in the world- to the list and American TV industry has proved their success to Hollywood. So, there has been no reason for A-List actors to hesitate about being on TV anymore.
Given these circumstances, HBO which is formerly known about its success of converting the TV actors to Hollywood stars just like Sarah Jessica Parker, has also changed its direction and started to follow the new trend. Since Game of Thrones will start a bit later than usual this year, the network is determined to fill this gap with many award-winning stars such as Jude Law, Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman and Robert De Niro.
The Young Pope
HBO ilk olarak 15 Ocak'ta The Young Pope'un ilk bolumunu yayınladı. Jude Law'ın tarihteki ilk Amerikalı Papa olarak rol aldıgı dizi, daha baslamadan konusuyla tartısmalara neden oldu. Ozellıkle adı Twitter'da baya bir olay haline geldi, hashtaglare tasındı.
Klasik kurallara ayak uydurmadan sansasyonel bir hayat yasayan genc papa rolundeki Jude Law'a bu dizide bir diger A-List aktrist Diane Keaton eslik ediyor. Ilk bolumu bizim dizi sitelerine ne zaman düser bilinmez ama fragmanını buradan izleyebilirsiniz. Bir sezonunun 10 bölüm olması planlaniyormus, imdb puanı ise su anda 8.5.
HBO aired its first limited TV series, The Young Pope, in January 15th. The series in which Jude Law is starring as the first American Pope has already become a phenomenon in the country. Its name caused many controversies especially on Twitter and lots of hashtags were created to discuss about the plot.
In the series another A-Lister, Diane Keaton, is sharing the screen with Jude Law who is playing a young and rebel pope with a sensational life. Imdb rated the series with 8.5 but you can decide for yourself by watching the trailer from here.
Big Little Lies
Subat ayında ise HBO, Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman ve Shailene Woodley gibi Hollywood'un unlu aktrislerinin basrollerini paylastıgı Big Little Lies'i yayinlayacak. Farkli karakterlere sahip 3 annenin bir cinayet etrafinda sekillenen hikayesinin anlatildigi komedi-drama dalindaki yapim aslinda bir kitap uyarlamasiymis.
Mini bir dizi olacak olan Big Little Lies'in imdb'de simdilik 7 bolumu gorunuyor. Ben fragmani izledigimde tipik HBO yapimlarina gore cok daha
siradan bir konu ve dizi gibi geldi (seks ve ciplakligin minimum oldugu bir HBO dizisi mi? come on!) ama bakalim sizler ne dusuneceksiniz?
In February, HBO will air Big Little Lies that casts famous Hollywood stars such as Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman and Shailene Woodley. The comedy-drama series is based on a novel which tells us the story of 3 mothers whose lives change after a murder.
It seems from imdb that the show will have 7 episodes each season. Having checked the below trailer I felt like it is a bit of an ordinary topic compared to other HBO series (I mean... an HBO show with no boobs and sex? come on!) but let's see what you are going to think?
The Wizard of Lies
Son olarak Mayis ayinda Robert De Niro ve Michelle Pfeiffer'li The Wizard of Lies'i izleyecegiz. Ayni adli bir romandan uyarlanan TV filminde Robert De Niro'yu Bernie Madoff rolunde Ponzi Oyunu adi verilen buyuk bir dolandirilicik duzeni icinde gorecegiz.
Gonul isterdi ki, bizde De Nirolari Al Pacinolari bir Saadet bir Titan zinciri olsun, bir Deniz Feneri olsun ulkemizin guzide dolandiricilik oyunlarini cekerken gorelim, milliyetci duygularimiz kabarsin, balkonlarimiza bayraklarimiz asilsin ama simdilik Amerikan duzenbazliklari ile yetinmeye devam edecegiz malesef.
Lastly, in May we will watch The Wizard of Lies with Robert De Niro and Michelle Pfeiffer. The TV movie based is based on a novel by Diana B. Henriques and De Niro will play the role of Bernie Madoff who is committing to the America's biggest fraud by playing a Ponzi scheme.
Bu uclunun arasindan benim en cok merak ettigim The Wizard of Lies, Mayis ayinda yayinlandiginda merak eder izlerim diye dusunuyorum. Yine de hicbir yapim bir Game of Thrones'un yerini tutamayacakmis gibi geliyor. Neyse en azindan "Haziran sonu is coming".
Out of these 3 productions, I think the most interesting one will be The Wizard of Lies. I will probably watch it in May when it is aired. Still, it feels like nothing can replace Game of Thrones in the upcoming season but at least "June is coming", right?
